These were just before introduction of modernization concept in Bhutan. The country first started its five year economic plan in 1961 and then gradually came modern facilities like roads, schools and hospitals. Bhutanese people have lived in small tribes who are separated from other tribes either by geographical challenges or leadership boundaries. We can’t imagine of other countries knowing about Bhutan when people didn’t know even among themselves.

This demands a common place where other countries can study more about Bhutanese cultures and even have opportunities to try them. When per capita internet connectivity is favourable, what would be better platform than blogging?
Bhutan Street Fashion, a page on Facebook that shares photos of both Bhutanese and foreigners alike who are in best outfits of Bhutan is very popular. It can go quite far. Foreigners love it as much Bhutanese do. And also number of Bhutanese youths aspiring to take parts in various international level fashion shows and beauty pageant programs are on rise.
Therefore, there is indeed a huge scope for fashion and design blogging in Bhutan. Foreigners need to show how our fashions and dresses are as much as our youths need to be guided on how to present them to others in their true essences. There are one or two fashion bloggers from Bhutan. They are doing well compare to bloggers in other areas.
